Below is a bank of story titles and suggestions for story writing that I have built up over several years of English teaching. Sometimes a good title is in itself an effective stimulus. Students should be given a choice of titles, but always allow the opportunity to make up their own title. The titles and suggestions below can be used with any age group, and are most effective when given out a few at a time rather than all at once.
